Urgent care or the ER? A Fort Collins guide
Fort Collins has two 24-hour emergency rooms: UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital at 1024 S Lemay Ave, a Level III trauma center, and Banner Fort Collins Medical Center at 4700 Lady Moon Dr, just west of I-25 off Harmony Road. Go there, or call 911, for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a head injury with confusion, or heavy bleeding.
Most of what sends Fort Collins families looking for urgent care is not that. Ear infections, strep, UTIs, sprains, rashes, and stitches-or-not questions are a same-day call to our office. We are call-first rather than walk-in: phone (970) 888-0399, a real person answers, and we usually find room the same day. Labs are drawn in the office.
One Larimer County specific: summer fever with a bad headache, stiff neck, or confusion after mosquito exposure can be West Nile, which the county records every year, and that belongs in an ER, not urgent care. Our clinic is in Greeley, about 35 minutes from Fort Collins by Harmony Road and I-25 to US-34.

Great question! We have all of the same offerings as a larger competitor. We can take any labs necessary and provide you with fast results and analysis. Additionally, when you need additional services we do not send you to another department to make another appointment, we handle everything in office.
