Why Sheree Montoya founded NOCO Healthcare
Sheree started her career as a nurse in a large health system. She worked in emergency and operative care and rose to director of a Level 1 trauma center. When more administrative promotions came, she turned them down. Every step up the ladder took her farther from patients, and patients were the reason she went into healthcare.
After 24 years in large healthcare settings, she had watched too many people get rushed through appointments and treated as units. So she came home to Greeley to build something different: a primary care practice with time to talk, time to listen, and room for a real relationship between patient and provider.
That is still how NOCO Healthcare runs. Visits are not rushed, labs are usually drawn right in the office during your appointment, and a real person at the Greeley front desk answers the phone.
Tired of Being Rushed Out the Door?
Many people who find Sheree have spent years with providers who looked at a screen more than at them. They stopped bringing up concerns because nobody seemed to have the time. That is exhausting, and it is not your fault.
Sheree built NOCO Healthcare so appointments have room for your whole story. Bring your questions, your history, and your goals, and leave with a plan you understand.

How Sheree practices primary care in Greeley
Sheree sees patients of all ages for family primary care in Greeley: annual physicals, chronic conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes, sick visits, and preventive care. She also cares for women at our women’s clinic in Greeley and helps patients feel like themselves again through hormone therapy.
Because she is listed on the FMCSA National Registry, Sheree also performs DOT physicals in Greeley for commercial drivers.
Her approach is thorough and personal. She listens first, treats the whole person instead of a single symptom, and refers to a specialist when a patient needs one. Patients often say it is the first time in years they have felt heard.
NOCO Healthcare’s office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sheree’s own workday regularly runs long, because she will not end a visit until a patient’s questions are answered.

From Greeley to Ghana: Sheree and Agape World Health
Sheree’s care does not stop at the Weld County line. She serves as vice president of Agape World Health, a nonprofit that brings medical care to children and families in remote villages in Ghana, West Africa.
The work began with one of her own patients. Rachel (Rae) Esh, LPN, had a vision for bringing care to villages with no access to it, and when she asked Sheree to help, Sheree said yes without hesitation. After an exploratory trip in August 2023, the Agape team returned in March 2024 and evaluated and treated about 1,300 people.
The children Sheree met in those villages stayed with her, and the trips continue. Agape World Health accepts donations through its website.
A pillar of the Greeley community
The Greeley Tribune featured Sheree as a Shining Star in the community, and it is easy to see why. Through NOCO Healthcare she has supported local efforts like the Give Tree and a Weld County Diaper Bank giveaway for families who need a hand.
Sheree is a mother and is almost always surrounded by family. Still, you will not learn much about hers in an appointment. She will be too busy asking about yours.
Building a company from scratch, starting a nonprofit, raising a family, and improving the health of Northern Colorado: through all of it, Sheree Montoya has become one of the most remarkable women in our community.

A note from Sheree
Sheree Montoya, FNP-C
I grew up in Greeley. I spent more than two decades in large hospital systems, including years in emergency and trauma care, and I loved the work. What I did not love was watching patients get rushed through a system that had no time for them.
I turned down promotions because they would have taken me away from the bedside. I wanted time with my patients and a real connection with them. NOCO Healthcare is the place I built so I could have both.
When you come here, you are not a number on a schedule. Bring me your questions. I want to hear them.
