Pediatric care for Kersey families, from a family medicine practice

For Kersey parents, the nearest pediatric care is in Greeley, and NOCO Healthcare is about 20 minutes west on US-34. We are a family medicine practice, so bringing a child to us means bringing them to the provider who can also see you, your spouse, and your parents. Newborn visits, well-child checks, immunizations on the CDC schedule, same-day sick visits, and sports physicals are all part of a normal week here.

Video visits are also available for the days a Kersey drive does not make sense.

Pediatric care at a family medicine practice

NOCO Healthcare is not a pediatric specialty practice, and we say so up front. We are a family medicine practice, and our founder, Sheree Montoya, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Family medicine providers are trained to care for every age, and for many Kersey families that is exactly what they want: one clinic, one provider, one chart for the toddler, the teenager, and the parents. Newborns are welcome. A first visit covers weight and measurements, a full physical exam, feeding and sleep questions, and as much time as you need to ask about the things nobody warned you about. From there, well-child visits follow the standard schedule, immunizations follow the CDC schedule, and sick visits happen when they are needed, usually the same day you call.

As kids grow, so does the list: school and sports physicals, acne, asthma and allergy management, growth questions, injuries, and the conversations teenagers would rather have with a provider they have known for years. If a child needs a pediatric specialist, we refer and coordinate, and we stay the home base.

Same-day sick visits for Kersey kids

Children get sick at inconvenient times, and the answer should not be a three-hour wait at a walk-in clinic. We keep appointments open every day for patients who call that morning. Call (970) 888-0399 when you notice the fever, the rash, or the ear pulling, and we will find a time. For some things, a video visit is enough and saves you the drive; for others, we want to see the child in person, and we will tell you which.

Common reasons Kersey parents bring kids in: fevers, ear infections, sore throats and strep, coughs and croup, pink eye, rashes, vomiting and diarrhea, urinary symptoms, minor injuries, and asthma flare-ups. If a child is struggling to breathe, unusually lethargic, or you are frightened, go to the nearest emergency department first and call us after.

Regular well-child visits track growth and development, cover immunizations on the CDC schedule, and give parents a standing appointment to raise concerns. We keep vaccine records in the chart and provide copies for school, daycare, and camps. Insurance, Medicaid, and cost

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance plans, and we welcome families on Health First Colorado. If your child is uninsured, ask about self-pay pricing when you call. Well-child visits and immunizations are covered as preventive care under most plans. We will tell you what to expect before the visit, not on a bill afterward.
